Ok, this will likely evolve as we go, but I'd like to see more active players in this guild, more people helping out lower levels, more people joining at lower levels because we know how to have fun, and can help them, etc. (See
Recruitment Thread) So I'm perfectly willing to assist whenever I'm not occupied elsewhere, feel free to ask. Here are my rules for low-level instance assist:
1. Be polite. While I, and others in this guild like to assist... we're doing it because it's good for YOU and the guild, not typically because we don't have anything else we could do in our level range. Appreciation or thanks will make us happy to assist you next time.
2. DO feel free to invite others not in the guild on the run, it's a good opportunity to check out potential recruits, and show them we're fun to hang with. This guild was founded on the principles of fun play together. Share the fun.
3. My runs will be master-looter. If you're getting a walk-through, you're welcome to upgrades, quest loot, vendor trash, etc. Other equipment drops that would be sold or whatever will be collected for the
'free to a good home' pile to help OTHERS in the guild who might need them. If it's a guild run, I feel the guild as a whole should reap the most benefit it can.
4. Expect to move fast, expect some of the pulls to be sloppy, particularly the lower the level of the run, because as helpful as we are... I'm going to smack 10 level 25 mobs at once if I can to save time. It's not good training for instance runs in your own level range, but that's the time balance I need to do to find time to help out. With that many mobs in play, I will try, but may not always be able to save you if you pull aggro. You will be expected to PAY ATTENTION to your own positioning and threat. In other words... feel free to pitch in, and the higher level the run the more you'll be expected to pull your weight / play your role effectively, and the more we'll be running 'proper instance runs' where the pulls are more structured and careful, and we use crowd control, etc. This will also be an opportunity for all involved to learn how to play various roles within a group just that little bit better, because hey, everyone, including me, has something to learn, and most of the time the level 70 will have some spare capacity where even if you mess up a little bit... it's not the end of the run.
